Beats Headphones & Earbuds Light Colors Explained
Beats: LED inside the case near USB-C port indicates case battery. Earbud LEDs: white blink = pairing. Red blink = low battery. Fast white blink = resetting or firmware updating.
Earbuds Solid Red Light (Low Battery or Charging)
Beats: Solid red LED = battery below 20%. Flashing red = critically low, will shut off within minutes. No solid red 'charging' state — Beats shows white LED while charging.
Earbuds Blinking White or Blue Light — Connected
Beats: White slow blink = connected to an Apple device. Solid white = actively transferring audio. Beats earbuds use the Apple W1/H1 chip — LED behavior mirrors AirPods closely. On Android or Windows, white blink also = connected.
One Earbud Not Working, Silent, or Not Charging
Beats: Beats uses Apple's H1/W1 chip. One-sided silence is typically a sync issue. Forget in iOS Bluetooth, factory reset (hold button on both buds while in case with lid open for 15s), then re-pair.
Earbuds Case Shows No Light — Dead Case or No Charge
Beats: Beats cases use an LED inside the lid (similar to original AirPods). If the lid-interior LED is off when earbuds are inside: case is dead. Powerbeats Pro case has no external LED at all by design — use iOS battery widget only.
Earbuds Case Blinking Orange / Amber Light
Case charging in progress, or case has critically low battery and can't charge earbuds
